Are you looking for a premix cat food supplement to make preparing raw meals for your cat easier?  EZComplete is a great solution for cat guardians who are short of time in the kitchen.

What’s a Raw Cat Food Premix?

If you don’t have a lot of spare time, or can’t stomach the thought of handing organ meat this raw cat food premix could be the solution you’re looking for. Food Fur Life’s raw cat food supplement, EZComplete Fur Cats makes preparing a raw food meal for your cats easy.

You simply buy fresh, boneless human-grade meat, add the EZComplete cat food premix and some water and mix thoroughly. Yes, it really is easy!

You can use raw or cooked meat with EZComplete, which is balanced and complete for all stages of your cat’s life.

Manufactured in the United States, EZComplete is produced in an FDA registered and inspected facility that specialises in human nutritional food supplements. That means you can expect the same quality standards as you would in the nutritional supplements you consume yourself.

Once of the things I love most about the EZComplete premix is that there are NO fillers, NO additives, NO thickeners, NO flow agents and NO preservatives. This makes it especially suitable for cats like Charlie who has Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and other food sensitivities.

The other great thing about EZComplete is that they offer sample size packets for a small fee. This means you can try the premix before you buy a larger packet, which is great if you have a fussy eater.

EZComplete Raw Cat Food Supplement – What’s Inside?

The EZComplete premix uses human grade ingredients and includes:

  • dried chicken liver
  • eggshell (calcium source)
  • dried egg yolk
  • pork pancreas glandular
  • NZ green-lipped mussel powder
  • taurine
  • digestive enzymes
  • plus other vitamins and minerals.

Substituting bone and using eggshell as the calcium source, lowers the phosphorous levels. As a result, EZComplete is suitable for senior cats and cats with insufficient kidney function. It has also been formulated to meet the nutritional needs of growing kittens, pregnant and nursing cats.

How to Transition Your Cat to EZComplete

When you transition your cat to a new food it’s important to take it slowly to prevent digestive upsets, especially for a cat with gastrointestinal sensitivities. If you introduce any new food too quickly, your cat may develop diarrhoea or constipation, vomit or experience nausea. This doesn’t necessarily mean there is an issue with the new food — it usually means you’re transitioning too fast.

We can not emphasise this strongly enough . . .  introduce EZComplete S-L-O-W-L-Y.

Start with one meal and a small amount of the EZComplete cat food premix and gradually increase the amount of the new food with EZComplete and reduce the amount of the existing food over a 7-10 day period.

Food Fur Life provide a Transition Guide: Switching Foods to EZComplete on their website, which is well worth reading before you dive straight in.

Our Experience Using EZComplete

As I’ve mentioned, Charlie has IBD and other food sensitivities. Keeping this in mind, it was important that we make a gradual transition to raw cat food with EZComplete. We started by adding half a teaspoon to Charlie’s food, mixing it thoroughly with a small amount of filtered water. Getting Charlie to try new foods isn’t an issue, and he loved the taste of EZComplete’s raw food cat supplement. So much so, that he licked the bowl clean and stood on his hind legs at the kitchen counter begging for more.

With IBD, Charlie can be prone to diarrhoea, so I kept a close watch on the litter box for any signs of a reaction during the transition. Thankfully, he didn’t have any adverse reaction. We continued to transition slowly, adding half a teaspoon for a few days until I made a full batch of raw food using EZComplete’s premix.

If you haven’t yet transitioned to a raw food diet and would like to, EZComplete really does make it easy to feed your cat a complete and balanced diet based on the raw feeding prey model.

If you don’t want to feed raw but want to improve the quality of your cat’s diet with home cooked meals, EZComplete is a great cat food premix to use. Switching to EZComplete ensures your cat is eating a balanced meal with the nutrients required to help maintain optimum health. And best of all, it doesn’t matter where in the world you live — because they ship internationally.

Interesting. I wonder if there’s a version for dogs. Easier than prepping organs for sure.

I love learning about different things to try for cats – and this raw food sounds like a very viable option. Your pics are precious, by the way.

I think it’s really awesome you talk through the transition onto a new diet. I also live with a dog with IBD and food can be challenging… I’m so careful when we introduce anything new as it can be problematic. That slow gradual transition is really key!

Wow – it always amazes me when I learn new kitty things! It’s great to see more raw-based options and this one sounds great as it seems to focus on fuzzies with IBD and food sensitivities. We’ll have to check them out – see what else they offer!

I am one of those people who is freaked out handling organs and raw meat, but this does sound like an easy (less scary) way to try raw. I might just give EZ Complete a try. I am sure Rosie would LOVE it.

This is something I’m going to keep in mind because right now I’ve got a new cat who has extreme food allergies and it’s going to be a task figuring out what she can eat. Right now she’s on a simple ‘elimination’ diet but can’t stay on it forever because it’s not enough nutrients. I’m going to have to figure out what she’s allergic to. Off this list already: fish, the dog’s food (yes, she snuck it) and beef. Likely pork too.

I like how easy this sounds. Many years ago I bought some raw food for my cats. Needless to say it was the one and only time. This product sounds promising though!

Ohhh! This sounds like something my Lucie will love! She is 14 and her choices in food are becoming even more limited due to her sensitive tummy.

I’m glad to see that you transitioned slowly with this new food and that your cats are doing well on the raw. It’s good when you can find a food that works well for your pets.

If you want to try raw this is a good way to try it. Thanks for the helpful tips in how to transition cats to this new food.

Our Dusty is part raw part ‘I refuse to eat anything except Fancy Feast’ so we like this as an alternative to coax him to more raw!

I wonder if this would be good for Binga. She’s a senior, and has been having trouble absorbing nutrients from her part-raw, part canned diet. And she’s 16, so anything that takes the kidneys into account is important.

Lost my dear Kaitlynn to kidney failure at 17. I’m going to be preemptive this time.
